Pfyn lies in the canton of Thurgau. The late Stone Age pile-dwelling Pfyn-Breitenloo served as the background for the successful television series «Pfahlbauer von Pfyn» during the summer of 2007. On a hilltop dominating the Thur river is «Ad Fines», a remarkable and well-preserved Roman fort. Amongst the ruins you will find the Transitorisches Museum curated by the artists Alex Meszmer and Reto Müller. Archaeology and art at their best: welcome to Pfyn!
The Transitorisches Museum is located in the Old Wine Press (Trotte) in Pfyn. You can also follow the «trail of history and stories of Pfyn» with the help of a leaflet.
You can visit the Transitorisches Museum every Friday from 2pm to 5pm. For other days, please announce your visit. You can find the leaflet for the trail at the local administration office in Pfyn or at the museum. For guided tours please contact the museum.
